Ohana Senior Living continues a mission that began nearly a decade ago with
Ohana AZ. Since 2016, founder Dr. Ryan Senters has led the creation of safe, supportive homes for Arizona’s most vulnerable populations—including a network of over 30 licensed homes for adults and children with special needs. Ohana’s work also includes transitional housing, supportive services, and a nonprofit dedicated to helping foster youth successfully transition into adulthood.
Ohana Senior Living was created to meet the growing need for high-quality, relationship-based care for seniors. We prioritize meaningful connections, personalized support, and a true sense of family—ensuring every resident experiences not just care, but community.
We understand that moving into assisted living can feel overwhelming. That’s why our homes are designed to feel like home. From shared meals and genuine relationships to attentive, individualized care, every detail is thoughtfully crafted to bring comfort, trust, and joy. At Ohana Senior Living, we honor the meaning of our name—
family—in everything we do.
As longtime foster parents, Dr. Ryan Senters and his wife Sara have adopted 9 of their 11 children through the foster care system—a journey that shaped their deep commitment to family, compassion, and second chances. With backgrounds in social services and community care, they built Ohana on the belief that everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and truly at home.
Dr. Senters, Founder and CEO of Ohana Senior Living, brings over two decades of leadership in social services, having founded and scaled multiple organizations dedicated to serving vulnerable populations. His professional experience is matched by a personal mission: to create spaces where people are treated like family and supported with dignity and love.
Outside of his work with Ohana, Dr. Senters is actively involved in his local church, coaches youth sports, and is committed to serving the community his family calls home. His hands-on leadership and heart for service shape every part of the Ohana experience.
